Experienced Full Time Veterinary Technician position available in an 11,000 sq. foot animal hospital. We are a progressive AAHA certified animal hospital located in the Arcadia East Area of Phoenix. Our team is committed to providing the highest quality patient care and outstanding personalized service. We are non-corporate and follow Fear Free and Cat Friendly guidelines.
Certification desired but not required. Experience requested but not required. We will train the right person.
Our veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants are responsible to perform the following: perform TPR’s, draw blood and obtain urine, set catheters, give medications orally and by injection, provide care to hospital and some kennel patients, set up and assist surgical procedures, monitor anesthesia, perform dental prophy’s, take traditional and dental radiographs, perform in-house lab work, fill prescriptions, and provide excellent customer communication.
Requirements:
At least 1-2 years of experience caring for animals in a veterinary/animal hospital setting requested.
Responsible, motivated, and willing to work hard.
Must have initiative, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
Must have compassion with a desire to help people and their pets.
Work well with others in a busy and intense environment.
